I am sick of the spammers

OK, it would be one thing if the spam were from Labtricity labs. At least that relates to Photoreflect. I am sick and tired of getting spam from competing image hosting companies.

The find a photographer feature has it’s place. That place is not to provide email lists for the competitors of Photoreflect.com. How do I know that my email address was harvested from Photoreflect.com and not purchased with an opt-in list? I set up the email account that is listed on Photoreflect.com specifically to get orders, and for questions from my customers. I have NEVER used it for any other purpose and have never signed up for any information from any company using that address. It was harvested from Photoreflect.com. Period.

Here is the list that I have gotten just this weekend. I am going to add to it as these idiots keep sending their crap:

1. Collages.net
2. Photobiz.com
3. Phodos.com
4. Orderpicture.com

These last two have to be the nastiest sites I have ever seen. They both remind me of really bad Front Page templates.

When these companies use a service to send their mail I complain. Send Mail and One Reach both have a policy that forbids the sending of spam. Collages.net used one of them and I have complained twice. The second time being assured that the matter would be dealt with.

In the case of Orderpicture.com I have complained to PPofA. They claim to be a member and this violates their codes of ethics.

  1. I agree with how bad the Orderpicture.com web site looks. It and the templates used for the photographers appear to be written by a high school kid, or perhaps someone with no since of web design.
