DP2 is one of the most intense applications that I have ever used. Imagine trying to run your printer or your scanner with a spreadsheet. If you have never seen it before, download the DP1 trial from Kodak.com and have a look. There is no clear interface. Everything is a database table, or a poorly thought out attempt to add an interface to an overly complex program. That is what DP2 is like everyday. Nothing is just simple. Everything involves steps. Lots and lots of steps. Every single task is a chore.
Now comes DP1. It is more simplified than DP2, but it still made me feel like a one legged man in an ass kicking contest. The same old tired, generic look. The same process and method for doing things. With generic wizards to slow you down.
I am so sorry that I ever brought this thing up. I am sure that it is a solid application just like DP2 is. If your interest is a solid application that also makes things easy for you check out the ExpressDigital software. Things flow much better. Tasks like corrections and cropping are much more intuitive. And given the nature of the annual license that DP1 will require probably a good bit less expensive in the long run.

I really don’t understand why Express made this move. DP2 is a first class pain in the ass. As I have described in the past, it is like running your printer with a spreadsheet. All I am going to say about that. [...]
